| eh, facebook is overrated. i'm not on there so much, either. :) | | |
| It used to be I didn't really care much for those people that said things like, "I'm not on xanga much anymore. I'm on facebook now. Facebook is the new xanga. Facebook is just so much better than xanga." Yeah, that was annoying. But guess what. Never mind, I'll just tell you. I have facebook. And I'm on facebook way more than I'm on xanga. Sad. I mean, it's not like I updated that regularly before I had facebook, but still... I'll try to do better. Notice- I said try. And now it seems like it's been quite a long while since I asked the hand/foot question. I'd still like to ask a few more people, because I wanted to ask an even amount of male & female victims, but I'll post my results so far. Out of 44 men, 59.09% said they would rather have their hand cut off than their foot. And out of 48 women, 68.75% would rather have their foot cut off than their hand. Interesting. (I thought so anyway.) Why the difference? I'd like to find out. Perhaps it has something to do with the type of job you have. Or how active you are. Or what kind of activities you enjoy. The people who chose hand say, "What good are my hands if I can't use my feet to go anywhere?" But I say what good are two feet if you can't do anything with your hands when you get there? I would think it would be a lot easier to learn to walk on a prosthetic foot than to deal with having only one hand. How would I do my hair? Tie my shoes? Put my socks on? (not in that order) How would I type? Clean? Cook? Get my [nonexistent] baby dressed or change his diaper? Put toothpaste on my toothbrush? Hold a piece of paper & cut it with a scissors? I can think of a lot more things to add to that list, but I'll stop now. What do you think? I keep thinking it's Monday. But it's not. It's Friday. I'm very confused. Sort of. Bye. | | |
| I'm taking a poll... If you had a choice, would you rather have your hand or your foot cut off? It's not a trick question. It doesn't matter which hand or which foot. You can choose left or right. Don't follow peer pressure or think about it too much. Just choose one and leave a comment. So far the results have been quite interesting. I may post about them one day, if I get enough responses. | | |
| Psalm 15 nlt 1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? 2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. 3 Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends. 4 Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the Lord, and keep their promises even when it hurts. 5 Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yes, I know I'm updating just a few days after the last time. I don't know what's gotten into me. And for the record... Lorne, Sharon, Gina, Nevin, Brent, and Dustin- I miss you like crazy! It seems like way more than 4 weeks since you've left. Yesterday I decided maybe it was time to stay home and get some extra sleep when my coworkers started asking me if I needed a nap. lol I like my job. I might have possibly maybe perhaps been getting on their cases for numerous things that afternoon. I got close to 11 hours of sleep last night, and I was quite cheerful this morning when I got to work. I cheerfully said good morning to several people, and then they had the nerve to wonder if I was awake! Reminds me of that one morning in Mexico when I was all cheery, and someone wondered if I was having an out-of-body experience. (Yes, it was only one morning. Hmmm... Maybe I'm really not a morning person.) There's just no pleasing people these days. I felt strangely rested on my way to work, though. Perhaps I'll do that again tonight... | | |
| So the other day, Saturday actually, I was typing with my one hand. I was only using one hand because I was holding something with my other hand. And with my one hand (the right one) I very carefully typed out the word houce. So now I'm possibly a wee bit concerned about myself. Because- not bragging or anything here (seriously)- I am a good speller. I can spell things. Things like vexillology. Not a problem. Don't even need to use a dictionary for that one. (Ok, I just looked it up because I thought it would be really embarrassing if I actually did spell it incorrectly. It was correct.) When I went to get my GED, my highest scores were on language arts, reading and language arts, writing. And there's spelling in those tests. I'm just saying. (I have the numbers to prove it, if you wish.) But seriously, houce? What is wrong with me? I am also concerned about the excessive use of parentheses in the above paragraph, but I'm not even going to try to tackle that problem today. I posted, Lila. And last I checked I was still a Miller. Hope you're happy. And less lonely. | | |
